Wakefield Poole is the name of one of the few American dancers who were part of the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo and director of gay erotic cinema. In Visiones y Revisiones, Mauricio makes a comparative study between two works that the dancer and director knows well. On one hand the second act of the Swan Lake that Wakefield danced countless times with the Ballets Russes and on the other hand his first movie Boys in the Sand from 1971, a reference of gay erotic cinema.

“It is getting clear what many times we have suspected: the excitement of ballet and the excitement of porn have much to do, perhaps because they are produced by very similar representative structures”.
