SOLO BACH & GLENN

Albert Quesada was trained as a choreographer in MDT (Amsterdam) and PARTS (Brussels). After studying philosophy and multimedia engineering in Barcelona, he focused his work on the exploration of musical structures, inviting us to perceive and listen to classical works from a choreographic point of view. The replacement of this solo takes us back to the essence of his research, this time in a dialogue with the Brazilian, Aline Corrêa, with whom he shares a double session.

The dance in Solo on Bach & Glenn is based on a written score, a series of instructions for the dancer created in close relationship with the soundtrack (Glenn Gould’s explanations about his way of playing and his recorded Goldberg Variations).

RESISTÊNCIA

This young Brazilian choreographer surprises us with her strength and the quality of her movement. In this solo she presents the body as an object of resistance. With shaven hair in confrontation with the feminine ideal of beauty, she throws her body against the ground looking for different ways to fall and to impact against matter.

This solo questions the body as an object of resistance. It was necessary to resist
at each stage of learning, experiences. The body becomes a full place of scars, the past is on the surface of skin but its presence visible or buried Allows one to have eyes open on the present.
“Without the impulse the body is nothing” (O Pulso de Tita’s).
