“BRAZIL HAS TWO REALLY ORGANIZED THINGS: DISORDER AND CARNIVAL”
The Baron of Rio Branco

Interpreted in the popular imagination as a tropical, festive but violent paradise, the carnival forgets for a hundred hours all the prejudices that prevail during the rest of the year, and is thrown into the street without sexual or class discrimination. Days of madness before the “farewell of the flesh” – origin of the word carnival.
From this base, the new project by creator Reinaldo Ribeiro (co-founder of the group Lamajara de Barcelona) uses as a backdrop one of the largest outdoor shows in the world to show it, with a contemporary vision, before it serves us as springboard for other universal themes.
