Pol Jiménez is one of the most interesting dancers of the new generation from the Conservatori Professional de Dansa. The young artist’s investigation of Danza Española and Flamenco determines a unique and stylish dance form. For this new adventure he counts on the direction of Juan Carlos Lérida, an ideal partner with whom to delve deeper into these languages. La Oscilante is a work about otherness, which blurs the figures and the gestures assigned to each role (the feminine and the masculine) in Danza Española. The steps and poses typified by tradition in a binary system are reinterpreted in a delicate performance with the impeccable technique. Oscillating between these two poles, between the curved and the vertical, the linear and the discontinuous, Jiménez will approach the expressive possibilities of a non-gender dance.
