Edurne Arizu presents her live project and the songs of her next new album: “Fricciones”.
The project speaks about border areas, where boundaries are found and exchanges take place. The accordion is the hinge that is placed between the instruments and styles; the accordion becomes a border, elastic and flexible like its bellows, where the traditional and the contemporary coexist.
The songs are originally composed for accordion and arranged for quartet, where the voice is used as an instrument, speechless.
Pop melodies, displaced figures, classical harmonies and moments for improvisation are what generate these frictions that define the album and will be explored live, on stage.
