With the support of Centre Cívic Barceloneta and Bolivia Now

LaCerda undertakes a stage investigation focused on the ritual of the procession: walking as an act of faith and redemption. In front of us unfolds the Latin American plain. On the horizon is a path, on either side of which the virgins appear at night and at the crossroads we come across the demons and mourners of Latin American mythology. We see three figures in procession, crossing the plain, dragging their sins, their penances, their promises, and their gratitude. They walk. Where are they headed? What is the fate of their devotion? LaCerda assumes this work as a pilgrimage in search of its origins, its relationship with folklore and the traces of its Latin American identity, still present in its migrant, Euroresident and contemporary bodies.

LaCerda is a dance company born in 2015 in the city of Barcelona, with the intention of investigating around the concept of ritual and mystery, creating disturbing and unknown universes. LaCerda’s work has been presented in various theaters and festivals in Europe and Latin America where they have also shared their FULL DANCE stage training proposal.
